Born in Washington, DC, JaNeise Sturdivant attended Barbizon School of Modeling. Her parents gave her the first introduction to modeling and dance when she was seven years old.

JaNeise attended the John Casa Blanca Modeling Agency where it has aided with discovering her charisma, style, and uniqueness. In 2001, JaNeise worked with Sherritta Matthews, an Award Winning Hairstylist from Washington, DC on numerous photo shoots and her pictures would later appear in Sophisticate and Passions hair magazines. The photographer for the photo shoot was Eric Von Lockhart in which JaNeise is currently working with him as a free lance model.

To add to her experience, JaNeise has worked with celebrity make-up artist Kym Lee of Outer Skinz as a model and make-up assistance. While under the tutelage of Kym Lee, JaNeise has encountered and made the acquaintance of other make-up artist such as Danessa Myricks, D’Andre Michaels, and Reggie Wells (Oprah Winfrey make-up artist).
