About Me

Please read my profile info and booking policies before contacting me.

My portfolio here is not up to date! I am working on updating it but it's a process and I have a ton of images to go through. This note will be removed when updated. In the meantime, please refer to my IG (link below my profile pic) @jjennjones for more current work.

**Currently booking TFP with digital artists and Photoshop wizards! Seeking artists who create their own worlds (not retouchers) with skills comparable to those of
Jeff Wack, FrizzyCube, and Vizerskaya. Please look at their work for comparison and be honest with yourself about your own skill level.

In addition to having worked with countless photographers, makeup artists, hair stylists, fashion designers, and jewelry designers; having been published in numerous magazines, catalogs, books, and websites; having posed for many figure drawing classes, painting classes, sculpture classes, and private artists; and having modeled for 100+ workshops, events, conventions, and runway shows; I've been fortunate to have worked with the following brands and companies:

Pixar
EA Games
Industrial Light and Magic (a subdivision of Lucasfilm)
ConAir
Aquage
BaBylissPRO
Rusk
Davines

"Beware of artists. They mix with all classes of society and are therefore the most dangerous."

Booking Me
It's super easy... just read below. After that, please send me a personal message. Picture comments, lists, and tags are greatly appreciated but I rarely find the time to respond to them. Work related messages always get a prompt response. Please be specific in your message and state as many of the following as possible:
*Location
*Style/theme/concept
*Planned duration of the shoot
*Compensation
*Whether or not hair, makeup, or wardrobe will be provided

No plans?? It's ok, I quite enjoy the spontaneity of the wander and shoot approach as well.

I am happily available for paid assignments to all levels of photographers. Please don't be intimidated. Some of my favorite people to create with are amateurs. I'm a wildfire... all I need is a little creative spark. wink

Policies
*I show up on time to all my shoots and I expect the same of you. If you are late, do not expect me to make up for lost time. I may be flexible but it depends on my schedule and I am to be compensated my full fee for my booked time plus payment for any extra time regardless of how much of that time you spent in traffic or trying to find parking so please plan ahead!

*I charge for my time booked, not how much of that time I spend in front of your camera. Any breaks or time spent setting up/changing lighting is still on my time. If I am booked for a 1pm-5pm time slot then my time starts at 1pm. If you want to shoot at multiple locations, travel time in between is still counted as my "on the clock" time unless we have a prior arrangement.

*I do pose nude and, although I sometimes toe the line of what may be considered erotic, I do not accept any adult or fetish work. I will not pose for anything more explicit than what you see in my portfolio.

*I'm really easy to work with but there are some situations I require be discussed in advance: multi-photographers, multi-models, cold weather, in/underwater, extreme locations, and anything going on my body other than clothes (i.e. paint, oils, or, heaven forbid, chocolate syrup). Not all surprises are good surprises. wink If I show up and you have another model or photographer for me to shoot with, or want me to pour something sticky in my hair I just finished styling without having discussed it with me first... my answer will be no. It's not only doing me a favor to discuss everything with me first but yourself as well! The photos will come out better. big_smile

*Under no circumstances are you permitted to touch me while we shoot. No adjusting my clothes, moving me into a pose, etc. If you need me to adjust a pose or something I'm wearing, just say so. The only exceptions to this rule would be if I need help down from something I've climbed up onto or maybe if my hair is sticking out at a weird angle and I'm not in front of a mirror to fix it. If you are a clothing designer or stylist then it is of course understandable that you'd be very particular about the look/fit of the wardrobe but even in any of the above cases, please say something first rather than just going in for the kill so to speak. This does not mean that I'll get upset if you need to adjust something, making me aware of that first just shows that you respect my personal space.

*Behind the scenes and candid shots: I'm mostly open to these (although I won't pose with you without my clothes on) but please ask my permission first. No sneaking a shot when I'm not aware, thanks!

Working With Me
I'm really easygoing, fun, and goofy but simultaneously always hardworking and professional. I like to experiment with movement and expression. Direction is well received but I know how to move my body too. I'm very capable when it comes to doing my own hair and makeup. I can create a vast array of looks. I'm open to most concepts but I'm particularly infatuated with creative portraiture and anything make-believe, magical, etherial, surreal, otherworldly or more outlandish fashion/editorial style images.

Compensation
I charge an industry standard hourly rate for my time and I offer discounted rates for half and full day bookings. Just because I require payment for my services does not mean that I don't love what I do. I started modeling because of my love for art and acting and that love has not changed since. big_smile

Deposits
I charge a 50% deposit for all shoots booked while I'm traveling. This does not apply to work within my home base area (San Francisco and Monterey bay areas)

Cancellation Policy
LOCAL BOOKINGS (SF & Monterey bay areas): I charge 50% of my total modeling fee for cancellations within 24 hours.

WHILE TRAVELING: I charge 50% of my total modeling fee for cancellations within a week or 100% for cancellations within 48 hours.

I cannot stress enough how disastrous it can be to have someone cancel while on tour! The work that I book during my travels is meant to pay for those travels/accommodations and a last minute cancellation can potentially leave me stranded. Please be sure you are committed before booking me. If we reschedule then your cancellation fee will be deducted from my compensation but keep in mind rescheduling is not always possible while I'm traveling.

**TFP**
If there's something I want to add to my portfolio, I will seek out a team to create it with. Please do not contact me for trade offers.

Tattoos & Piercings
I do have a few body mods: a tattoo of a few musical notes behind my right ear, a septum piercing, a tongue piercing, a navel piercing, and a few ear piercings. All of these are easy to hide or remove so I pretty much have a natural look.

Now that we've got all that out of the way, please don't let all my policies lead you to believe that I'm no fun to work with. I'm really mostly just silly but don't just take my word for it. Ask anyone you see credited in my portfolio.

"Not an accident, nor an afterthought, but neither was my shoot with Jenn the result of my arrogance, assuming that I might meet the standards set forth in her portfolio's manifesto. (I mean this tongue-in-cheek, of course. She acknowledges that some might find the list of standards and practices to be a bit daunting. Still, it's always a good idea to respect the artist you're collaborating with, and Jenn is a marvelous artist.) Since I already have a second shoot planned with Jenn before getting around to leaving her a credit for our first shoot...that should give you an idea of how enjoyable the experience was, and how awesome the images are that resulted. One more thing: the shoot was in the living room/home-studio available there in Santa Cruz. In my mind, I was willing to experiment with an unfamiliar model in an unfamiliar space with unfamiliar equipment, etc. Not a remote shoot, but with appropriate precautions for our pandemically-challenged industry, this in-person creativity would also recommend how a remote shoot might go, too. So, believe me when I say that the experiment was a success, and I am looking forward to the next excursion into a creative space that at other times doubles as Jenn's living room. Book her there, or anywhere, and be amazed at what you see through the lens." Read less

"Jen's work as a fine art model is very diverse. What I discovered in my pictures of her was a classical look that reminded me of the Pre-Raphaelite painters. My photographs of Jen remain some of my favorite work ever...due in large part to her talent and experience." Read less

"Jennifer is a wonderful model - very experienced, fluid, and nuanced in her many poses and looks. I had the privilege of working with her and Kim Weston in Carmel, California in June. "Jennifer was amazing to work with. Before the shoot, she asked clarifying questions and made helpful suggestions. For the shoot, she came prepared and she naturally falls into beautiful and artistic poses. The camera doesn’t seem to know how to make a bad photograph of her. In post, I agonized over the selection/rejection process - so many of the images came out incredibly (and I’m not that great of a photographer!). Jennifer has a great attitude, lots of creative energy, and is so easy to work with. I hope I’m lucky enough to work with her again in the future." Read less

"For an art model, you look for the right energy. Jennifer is tough, determined, and always happy. I accidentally sent her out on to some of the most uncomfortable rock one day, and it wasn't until after the shoot, that she mentioned how bad it was. When I put my hand down, I realized how painful it was, and she just smiled with vindication. I can't recommend this women enough. P.S. Sorry for the pain, but the shots were amazing." Read less

"Working withJennifer was a true pleasure. She was always willing and cooperative, as well as an extremely talented and lithe model. We worked together in the 'outback' country of Lake Powell, Utah, and were often involved with locales which were difficult to reach. Jeniffer, always the 'professional' ,was always ready and willing to put forth that extra effort making the difference between a 'satisfactory' shoot, and a 'stellar' shoot. I cannot recommend her highly enough, there just are no words! Larry Blau MM#1212193" Read less
