I see in pictures and think in photos, my mind is constantly bouncing around ideas and concepts for a photo and the camera is just the way I’ve found to interpret my minds visions into the real world. The one thing I can never see in my mind’s eye, is through the constraints of a lens. That’s always the final question or interpretation to be answered by the camera, when the shutter goes “click”.

People who recognise and poke fun of the absurdity in our world have always resonated strongly with me, the likes of Hicks, Toscani, Adams, Trey + Matt, Working Dog, Stewart, and Colbert.

History repeats itself in many unfortunate ways, my art isn’t about destroying the hypocrisy of the present but re-inventing the absurdity of past to make it fit the bull shit of the now. It’s a celebration of the all singing all dancing crap of the Western World.

Bigotry, Sexism, Racism, Homophobia, injustice...our Western World is built on a mountain of moral hypocrisy. And I love it, if it wasn’t for this never ending supply of corrupt content to focus the lens on, I’d having nothing to say, nothing to shoot and no reason to look down my nose at those less morally just than I.
I love and wholeheartedly embrace my moral hypocrisy.

My body of work speaks to those with an open mind, a rebellious streak, and a tongue so firmly placed inside the cheek, it starts to hurt a little.
But it’s inevitable I’ll eventually piss off my fans at one point in time. I don’t know if it’s walking the line, or just saying ‘fuck you’ to the line I just leapt over? I want to make you uncomfortable and challenge your beliefs. But I don’t want to be a total dick about it, just a “bit” of a dick...too much of a dick is a bad thing.
