I am an art photographer and visual artist. At present I primarily work with photo composites. I am attracted to happenstance, the flaw, the crack in the wall where the light comes through. I prefer to work more informally, to explore and shoot intuitively as opposed to the narrow confines of preconceived scenarios. This does not mean I am disorganized or have no real understanding of what I want, but rather I prefer the freedom to let things develop within a loose framework, and ideally, to facilitate the unexpected.

I seek to create work that is natural, beautiful, somewhat gritty, subtly emotional, at times slightly dark or unsettling, and at other times just kind of fun. I am primarily influenced by: Francesca Woodman, Richard Kern, Edward Hopper, Egon Schiele, Mike Dowson, Mikey McMichaels, Carlo Mollino, William Eggleston, Ellen Von Unwerth, and Helmut Newton, Nan Goldin, and Mario Testino's less formal work.

Most of the work I do is for my own portfolio and for images I will use in other art pieces. I want to have fun and feel creative, and I want whoever I am working with to have fun and feel creative. Ideally I would like to forge some worthwhile working relationships with a few models that I can return to over time.
