About Me

Benjamin Gibbs has been shooting professionally since the early 1990s. Based in Brentwood, Tennessee, Benjamin shoots projects on local, regional, national and international levels for clients based in the United States.

During the pursuit of his passion for photography, Benjamin did quite a bit of reading and self-study on the art of photography. He eventually began on-the-the job training through self-directed assignments, including local and international events, which eventually led him to build his portfolio. He credits much of his success to the opportunities and exposure he has received through freelance jobs with, Venus International Swimsuit Model Search finals, Miss Tennessee USA Pageant system, freelance assignments with Dan Read Cosmetics™, and a variety of other clients.

Benjamin has a talent for interacting with challenging personalities and making them come across as relaxed in his images.  It is a craft he has developed through his love of people, art, and photography.

"His work is top quality, he is personable, and he always goes the extra mile for anyone he works with,” Laura Cording, former director of the Nashville Kats Cheerleading squad, and director of the Cool Springs Harley Davidson Models.

Over the years, Benjamin has worked with top models, everyday people, and numerous pageant winners.  His client list includes Miss USA, Miss America, Miss Venus Swimwear, Tennessee Titans Cheerleaders, Nashville Kats Cheerleaders, Miss Fitness America and Miss Teen America.  His work has been published in Super Models Unlimited, Pageantry, and many other publications. His work can also be found on

Susan Carter, mother of Miss CO Teen USA 2004 says it the best, “Benjamin Gibbs is truly a talented artist. Wonderful photographs result from his originality of composition, lighting and attention to detail. Equally impressive is his professionalism — timely, appropriate communication, and cost effectiveness.”

What remains the same throughout the years is Benjamin’s approach to photography. “The best photograph happens when the simple elements are captured and the honesty is portrayed”.
