Hello fellow photographers,

Regarding uploading an image to the Model Mayhem Contest page -- what do you all think is the best method of resizing the image beforehand?

I shoot with a full-frame camera, so after finishing with post-processing in PS I usually downsize the image to 15x10cm and then go "Save for Web" until I get an image that is approximately1MB.   I would like my image to be displayed larger, though (meaning in dimensions).   But when I use an image which has for example 30x20cm and then downsize it for web it is allways too large.   Yet for some reason I do see images on the contest which are displaced almost screensize on my monitor.

The same actually goes for the process of uploading an image to my portfolio.   I would like the image to be quite larger an still not exceed the maximum file size.

Which method do you use?

thanks for any advice,
Heiko

image dimensions in cm are totally meaningless on the web. The only size measurements of meaning here are in pixels.
