Hi,

Just wanted to post a quick hello, to introduce myself.

My name is John, and I am 47, (born in 1968, since someone may see this in five years time, at which point I will no longer 47) and I am an enthusiastic amateur, who is looking to turn a hobby into a full time career. I currently work in IT, and have done so since 1987, (that was also a hobby) aside from a four year break, when I taught at the local college.

I don't have much else to say... I'm married with three kids and two grandkids, (again, this may change with time) and I am looking forward to getting to know more about this community.

Edit to add: I have shot a couple of weddings, and am in the process of building a website, to showcase my skills, and hopefully get some paid work.
