Post a photo from your first shoot.
below....... Jul 28 06 01:15 pm Link This was me a few years ago Jul 28 06 01:17 pm Link Jul 28 06 01:35 pm Link This is Dana Leuth, a local actress. She is the firs "model" I've attempted to shoot, and at the time I was using my horrific powder blue background and it was my first attempt to shoot with daylight balanced hot lamps and a disk reflector. Jul 28 06 02:16 pm Link From my first model shoot in May, 2005, with Sexy Di MM# 12684. My gear consisted of a 25 year-old Minolta XG-7 SLR and a single roll of Fuji NPH400 Professional negative film. No flash or reflectors (In fact, I did not even know what a reflector was back then!). Negatives were scanned on a Konica-Minolta Dual IV. Best image - I lucked out with just the right amount of sun behind me: Worst image - White shirt, black hat, direct sun = Shadowy mess: Could have been best - If ONLY I had used a fill flash or reflector on this one: Jul 28 06 03:40 pm Link Taken last spring (I have an auto copyright php script so it's really 2005) with a Mavica CD500, no fill or flash. I had a wrinkled backdrop so I took it out and have since done such great work with this model that I haven't bothered to play with filling it. Also the one of Abbe (girl in tan and light brown boots and lace top in my port here) was from the same day. My sister and my friend basically came in and helped me shoot my first "real" models other than myself or my husband. This is from the first shoot I did that involved an actual model and not me making faces and kissing rubber vampire heads....lol Jul 28 06 04:01 pm Link To: Jayne Jones Thanks! I fought with it until I figured it out! You're sweet for helping by posting it though. :-) Hadn't posted images and went back until I figured out what I was doing wrong. It took a few times. ;-) Jul 28 06 04:04 pm Link From about 3-4 years ago. Jul 28 06 04:05 pm Link Dr Molly Black wrote: Never a problem! I'm a model. . .I aim to please photographers. ;-) Jul 28 06 04:05 pm Link I would post one of my first images but MM has a weight restriction of .008 lbs. and my first image was done on granite with a small boulder and rock chisel which weighs. The image weighs 49.0 lbs. and not postable online.....kinda like a small snake eating a great dane and the lump thing in the stomach. It would stop internet completely around the globe......sorry i cant ablige though, its great for a yard/front lawn decoration. Jul 28 06 04:09 pm Link Not the first photo I ever took, but this shot is from my first real photoshoot with a model. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=177784 Jul 28 06 04:17 pm Link My first "real" shoot, in a studio. It was FTP, and neither the photographer nor I had any CLUE how to hold this dang thing! Jul 28 06 04:27 pm Link First shoot Back in Aug 2004. The guy is Chameleon #61342. His first shoot also. come to think of it I think it was Brandelyn's #18211 first shoot too. One day = three forces of nature to be deal with. Poor Paul! Jul 28 06 04:31 pm Link Ok, well technically this was the first time I shot anyone with studio lighting for a purpose... I was 15... I think the model was 17... it was 1990. and the next shoot... Rasputina! I got to photograph one of their recitals a year or so ago; it was a lot of fun. Jul 31 06 05:55 am Link Okay, you asked for it... And I'm sure you'll regret it! This photo is from one of my very first "official" portrait attempts. Actually, I think it's from my very first attempt made in December 1995. The model is a good friend of mine who played the role of guinea pig for quite a few of my photographic experiments when I first got started. This is actually a crappy scan, so pay no attention to the actual quality of the scan. Also, note the poor styling with the fly-away hair. I shot this with three blue bulbs in Smith-Victor reflectors and stands (I think I was using three 250 or 500 watt bulbs) using a Nikon N6006 and probably Kodak Royal Gold 100 film. Jul 31 06 06:14 am Link taken by a friend about 3 years ago......he's a professional photographer but rarely shoots people....we may have all pretty drunk..... Jul 31 06 06:23 am Link https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=644711 This one is of a friend of ours and she was pretty self-conscience because she had just had her baby. But what I don't get are the photographs we did of her when she was pregnant and she let us get the nudes. They turned out fabulous and very discreet and yet she doesn't want us to use them in any kind of advertising, they were for herself only. https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=644701 This one is the first engagement photos we did as part of one of our wedding packages. Together my fiance and I have been photographing for over 10 years when this shot was taken. She's just finishing up her bachelors and she's been shooting since high school (roughly about 6 years) and I'm just a lot older than her (I'm 37, she's 25). https://www.modelmayhem.com/pic.php?pid=641492 This is the first model off of a modeling site (Freelance) that we used a little over a year ago. Jul 31 06 09:09 am Link Wow - there are some surprisingly good shots from first shoots. Actually, my avatar is from my first shoot two years ago. :-) I'm still very happy with it.
