So with my crack addition to insitisting on keeping
my glasses on for most of my shoots iv gotten a lot
of comments on my "Kinky Libarian Frames". Which
got me thinking..."why the hell dont i have any
images of a kinky libarian or some sort of Office
Romance themed shoot?!"

So i was wondering, has anyone shot in a libary?
Or a busines cubical type thing? How did that go?
How DID you go go, (ie: how did you get the Ok
to do it..thats assuming u didnt just sneek around?)

Also i was curiouse if that is so impisable,if ne one had
some ideas on more lax places to simular the
enviorment?

a university library will likely give permission to shoot at an off peak hour.

call and ask if they have a pr or media rep. basically, ask for the person that a reporter would talk to if doing a report on the library.

well, in a dead quiet building full of nerds..... your cover would be blown the second you hit the door. near me there is a thrift store that has old library shelves full of used books, maybe try places like that if the library turns you away.

that is a good idea...there's a few great "used" book stores in my area as well that have library like environments without the hassle of "QUIET" signs up all over the place.

It's library.  That one always bugs me.  Thanks.

Carry on.

I've shot at an office furniture supplier. Any place national like Office Max or Staples will say no in a heartbeat. But if you find a local place, they'll usually have some setups as well. And if it's a male manager/owner/person in charge, you'll have no problem shooting there. Probably just before opening or, if it's slow anyway, just get an appointment set up.

Many people have books at home. Depending on what you're trying to capture, you may just be able to shoot it in a living room or home "library". Getting permission from an individual is usually much easier than from a corporation. (Ask your friends--most SCA households have a lot of books...)

This was shot in my living room. It's not the same kind of "kinky librarian", but...

We just went until they kicked us out (which never happened) or when we ran out of ideas.

Course I don't know what you have in mind, I was using available light & don't know if you plan on lugging lights in or something.

I'd go with a used book store, probably be easy to get permission.
