Do you have to agree to all of that?  I'm willing to lose some of my shit for $100/hr.  Wait...do I have to shit for the entire hour?

I didn't fall for it. I helped Adrienne type it up. She added all of the wonderful mishaps, I'm particuarly fond of Gonorrhea myself. ^5 Adrienne. wink

This all stemmed from another thread where I said:

Envy wrote:
Oh hell I'd say 70% of the time the models responding to these casting have no idea what they are responding to.

I could post a casting telling models I would pay them $1,000 for 4 hours of shooting, 3-4 looks, all images edited and on a CD. But, I would have to cut off their left foot.
I'd get about 20 "I'm interested, let me know if I have what it takes"  responses.

So Adrienne told me if I didn't post it she would. I helped her type up the fake casting  and now I'm just going to sit back and watch and let Adrienne do all of dirty work like answering private IM's about the casting.

Thanks girl for posting it, I didn't want to have all these models messaging me with "I'm interested".

I was particularly amused to find "broken nails" listed among the many nasty injuries and diseases.

I don't know what's funnier... the people who actually wanted in... or the people who still wanted in after it was exposed for what it was.

I do a lot of documentation at work, design docs.  Every once in a while I'll throw "You're an idiot" about 75% of the way into the document.  If I get questioned on it, I know they've actually READ the document.

I've also heard that a lot of bands who have been noted as being eccentric in their retainers actually do so to make sure that the organizers/promoters actually read their contracts.

Fun stuff all around!

So, exactly how many signs do we need to order? Cause there's some people here who should really be wearing one.

Oh, and all of you who said you are interested. I think there is a law that the retarded cannot sign a legal document. So, unfortunately she probably cannot use any of you.

Finally, how much you wanna bet if this were a real project and one of the "I'm interested" models showed up, that later that night she would be posting an unprofessional behavior warning on the forums? Ironic, isn't it?

Not only that, I'd be willing to bet that there's a bunch of "Calvn's" out there that are now collecting the names of each "interested" model to solicit them for his own fake projects and scams.

Every model that publicly posted "I'm interested" has now become easy pickin' for the scammers that are out there.

Okay, this was pretty funny and all, but...

Ummm, you know- I've done some beyond-indie-movie stuff, and you'd be amazed what we would sometimes go through just to get the shot we wanted- and I'm just talking about the camera men- hanging upside down from catwalks 30 feet in the air, rolling on gravel to get a "victims' eye view" dropped-from-a-moving car shot with the camera bundled in cushioning to keep it from getting too damaged (though when I and the other cameraman tried this, we just rolled as quickly as we could under our own power- we were not actually dropped from cars, but the "stuntman" was, heheh). One of our "stuntmen" (which in the realm of zero bugdet film making means "guy we talked into doing crazy shit by paying him in beer") ended up beaten, bruised, covered in ash, homemade fake blood that for some reason caused his mouth to go numb- I still have no idea how that happened, and lacking eyebrows due to getting too close to a fellow actor who was shooting jets of flame from a can of WD-40 using a lighter, and there was another of our actors who was hog-tied and dropped from the roof of a car (he was supposed to fall on a couch that was hidden behind the car, but he bounced off of it and landed on the asphault, but the show must go on...) then an actress (who was also the poor guys' girlfriend) was supposed to mime kicking him while he was tied up on the ground, but she "slipped" (okay, she really did seem sorry) and kicked him squarely in the balls.

I noticed that at least one of the responses was from a girl who had worked with Troma- if you don't know who that is: the makers of such... um, fine films as Toxic Avenger and Class of Nuke-em High... yeah, she knows that sometimes indie movie makers try some insane stuff- and I'm sure she had some real interest in doing it.

The stuff I just described are just a few examples of the insanity that we would try and pull, and very few of us got out of that shoot without a few scrapes, but it's one of the most fun times I've ever had and I learned a ton! Too bad the Director/Producer dropped the ball and it never got finished! hahahaha!!!

This was one of the best threads that I have read.  People really don't read and if they do all they see is $$$$$$!  I kept going back to see all the responses and couldn't believe my eyes.  There was one thread on April 1st that Gene Geter wrote and it got hundreds of responses.   People did not think for one moment that it was an April fools joke!  We all need a good laugh now and then!  :-)
