About Me

I am a Photographer who works mainly on commercial advertising productions in Richmond, VA and have for over 25 years. My work has taken me around most of the country but is mainly focused in the Central East coast region. My studio shoots beauty product for packaging, magazine, billboard, catalog product, Fashion, jewelry, model/actor headshots/compcards, Food & Restaurant shots, Corporate annual report imagery, as well as journalistic shooting and fine art. Here on MM I mainly have some model shots from glamour tests, and a little fashion & fine art, where I took the most portfolio loss..

In August 2004, Richmond was hit by a freak 100 year storm called "Gaston" from which I ended up loosing 95% of my portfolio, which at that time was just over 17 years of work, put at risk from flash flood waters and condemned by crappy business practice (law suit). From this devastation a weird baptism has risen, and I am looking to re-invent myself commercially towards the work I would love to do more of. The commercial work of the past and present is always appreciated and challenging, but over time it has left my book reflecting me only as a nice high end service, and has taken me away from the passion and art of it since commercially, you always shoot for the clients concept & layout. I need to recapture my vision in my book, and revive the artist behind the camera!

I can work in any camera format of film or digital photography, I have an old school background with leading edge capabilities who is very diverse in production. Before digital, I was known as a master printer, retoucher, and an expert in the lab for B&W and E-6 processing.

Additional skills: Photoshop retoucher, fine arts background for drawing, painting, & sculpture, then Carpentry/fabrication skills for sets & special effects, experience in over seeing large productions including propping, location scouting, talent go sees, and coordinating support crews as needed.

I am open to talk to anyone about anything so feel free to ask, on models for TFP/TFCD (which I have done a lot of) I only consider work with models who's looks and professional attitude benefit my portfolio. I treat my shoots as any paid job with a H&M stylist, prime locations, or environments in studio. Meaning there is a fare investment of my time and money, before, during, and after we shoot. Again feel free to ask about anything, if I haven't contacted you, I won't know you are out there unless you say hey!
