About Me
Hello! My name is Fiona Green and I am the Model and Talent Director for Snap & Dazzle, a Creative Photography Events Studio. I am here to connect with models and photographers and to promote collaborations between models and photographers. If you are interested in working with us either as a model or a photographer, please send me a message!
What is a "creative photo event"? Think 'workshop' meets 'live theatre'. We do not deliver an educational program with talking heads and reams of reading material. What we do is to 'teach by showing' and to make it possible for you to 'learn by doing'. Here is our upcoming event: Saturday, July 13, 2013 Emotional Portraiture Portraiture and emotion? It is not all that hard to capture an emotionless face. Just go for your passport photo. Conveying emotions - over the top or subtly - is one way to ensure that you capture standout images. This will be a great opportunity to build your own confidence in communicating with your subjects by working with experts in the art of communications - actors. Create your unique images If you want to do something to prepare for this event just look for some pictures showing expression. Look for what you like and what you do not like and try to clip or copy those to look at or bring with you. We will not have too much time in 2 hours to look at these reference images but the act of research will help you be more prepared to take great shots. How will this work? I rebooking this event we have moved it to a Saturday morning with these features: 2 hour session 4 sets 4 models (male and female) nearly continuous photography for 2 hours 1 continuous lighting set 3 strobe lighting sets "congo line" approach - photographers follow the photographer ahead of them Models will also take turns so that they will not always be in the same lighting set-up. An exclusive Toronto Faces learning opportunity - Seeing the light Not every type of lighting set-up works for each model. At this session you will have the chance to see what lighting works on which type of model. We encourage to see which model looks best under which lighting. What we are saying is that we will be purposely setting up lighting that is unlikely to work for every face. There will be coaching present to help you see which lighting words for which person.
