About Me

I am a street photographer at heart, a documentarian.
I am not a meticulous craftsman, I am not a studio rat.
I value immediacy, honesty, spontaneity, emotion.
I love the unpredictability of light and movement.
I'm looking for collaborators who don't need a road map.

I've been working in Washington State for ten years, with a focus on fashion, art and portrait work. I'm focusing primarily on paid gigs at this point, but am always willing to help out with portfolio building, and am open to creative collaborations of any kind. Shoot me your ideas, I'm always open to them.
My one ironclad rule is that I will never charge a model to work with me. Money in this business should be coming from an outside source paying both model and photographer.
I am steadfastly against studio work - I love natural light, outdoor locations, shoots that look organic and unplanned (and frankly, I tend not to plan much at all). I love when a shoot becomes a true collaboration, with all parties bringing ideas to the table. I have rarely had a shoot turn out exactly the way it was initially planned, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
