di-chot-o-my (noun) - something with seemingly contradictory qualities

professionally, i'm an architect/engineer, and my career keeps getting more technically-oriented by the day. personally, i've explored and engaged in seemingly endless artistic endeavors. i've danced, spun flags, designed and constructed costumes and uniforms, made jewelry (see link above), photographed, photoshopped, drawn, painted, written, sculpted...

without art in my life, i would be empty...the idea of modeling has become more intriguing over the past few years. it's an opportunity to explore and expose the different nuances of my personality - the nature lover, the shy quiet bookworm, the funky individual, the rocker chick, the indie girl...i hate labels, but enveloping myself in a particular mood and recording it is infinitely appealing. the ability to create a setting and perform a certain piece of my being - or trying to capture an identity other than my own - is something enthralling that i'm aching to pursue.
