Hobart born Angela White always dreamed of designing costume and high fashion. It was a summer making podium dancers costumes in Ibiza (Spain) which inspired her to follow her dreams and in 2006 Angela retired from her teaching career and moved to Brisbane to complete her fashion design studies. While studying full-time Angela took on many costume design jobs with Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre. It was the highly coutured 2007 production of ‘Dracula’ which gained her high recognition amongst the Brisbane theatre community.

Since ‘Dracula’ Angela has continued designing and making costumes for Zen Zen Zo Physical Theatre, as well as working with Jonathon Oxlade, Amanda Palmer (Dresden Dolls), The Danger Ensemble, Emma Dean, Raw Dance Company, Major Brisbane Festivals, Queensland Ballet and La Boite Theatre.

As well as costume, Angela also custom designs and makes high fashion pieces under her label ‘Angela White Costume & Couture’.
