The Global Beauty Project is a conversation about beauty.

A place where women share their thoughts, opinions and insights about beauty.  Anything that moves us when asked about beauty we discuss.  Family.  Love.  Culture.  Ethnicity.  Career.  Journey.  Life.  No boundaries.  No rules.  Simply a conversation.

Why start a conversation?  With Reality T.V., Face Space, Insta Pic all going directly to our smart phones and tablets; the world is much smaller and a more connected place today.  The fact that you have come across The Global Beauty Project and can read these words right now is amazing!  One would think that a more connected world would mean a celebration of other cultures and their perception of beauty.  However, this is not always the case.  As we become a more global community, I see the concept of beauty quickly becoming a universal, fabricated and unrealistic image.  I see beautiful women trying to alter their appearance (often at a large cost and high risk) because they do not fit into this mold.  There is no beauty "ideal" that represents all women.  My goal, by initiating this conversation is to create positive perceptions about beauty within women.  Women are beautiful and it is time to share with one another our thoughts and bring the feeling of being beautiful into our everyday world.
