I started doing makeup for the students at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara.  It's a place where the students live, eat, dream photography and so did I. 

I'm really big on making sure I understand the lighting before I begin application.  I want to see what the camera will see.  It was a huge benefit learning how to do makeup at Brooks.  I can speak the language. I know what the lights will do to the makeup and hair. 

I have been a free-lance artist for going on 11yrs now and can honestly say I have hit my stride.  I am my own chemist.  I'm always coming up with new innovative ways to execute concepts that are tricky:) to make them fast, efficient, and beautiful of course!  I come to my shoots/sets
well researched and prepped for the day ahead.  I work in two speeds; fast and faster!  I like to be done with makeup in 20 - 30 minute time frames. My makeup is clean and you won't spend very much time editing it.  Some of my portfolio images haven't been re-touched! I am also a licensed aesthetician which really comes in handy.

This is my full time job - obviously! lol. - so I cannot do any TF.  If you have a great concept that I am in love with or are going after a submission and you have a rock star team in place I can work with you for kit fee which usually runs me around $50.  For my rates please message me here and I will do my best to work with your budget. A girl can only stretch so far!    But there's no harm in asking me..... 

I'm currently based out of downtown San Francisco.

I come with no ego attached.  I have a very easy-going personality.  I like to make everyone laugh and enjoy themselves as the day progresses.  I work well with art directors and shooting schedules. I am always on time.  I never have and never will pull a no show.  I hope I've answered all your questions?
