About Me

Hello and thank you for visiting!

I'm working on a fine art nude with wildflowers book! Planning to be finished with layout March 2024 and then printing!

My priorities for 2023 - 2024 are creating art prints for my Etsy shop, occasionally creating photos sets and/or making beautiful videos with models to sell for a mutual 50/50 and creating some music videos for my new solo piano album. For photo sets I prefer to create with a sense of narrative, I've been selling a lot of them and my story sets are fun to create and they simply sell well. I only schedule with models who sign release form for mutual 50/50 of sales.

I hire on very rare occasions if model is simply more glamorous than my current ability to create and its obvious that I'll earn a profit.

When I'm not traveling, I'm usually available in Spokane/north Idaho mid-April through mid-September. I go to Portland and Seattle once or twice a year. I'm usually in Duluth, Minnesota for a week or two towards the end of September and for about a month towards the middle of March through the middle of April. Otherwise I'm usually in Mexico or traveling around Europe.

The day can be any amount of time up to 12 hours. Figure $500 USD per day without crediting me. I bring my cameras, artistry/imagination, undivided attention and professionalism. At end of each session, I transfer all images (both RAW and jpg) and all video clips onto external drive supplied by person hiring me. Locations and transportation between multiple locations are to be provided by person hiring me. If you'd like to hire me to edit selections from our shoot, figure $10 (USD) for each of your selected photos and $20 (USD) per minute of video.

2018 was a good year filled with study and creative growth. December brought my first magazine publication and my first few print sales. Those were encouraging!
My priorities for 2019 were creating for print and making editorial /photo story sets for magazine submissions.
My priorities for 2020 were creating for print, filming music videos, making a couple art films and making editorial /photo story sets for magazine submissions.

I started focusing on model photography September 2017 as a series of exercises for my cinematography without larger cast and crew on location. I have had 70 cast members in frame while shooting and directing scenes and model photography is really good practice. I enjoyed the first day out in the wilderness with MUA and two models and decided to continue. I kept count for a few years but I've done too many photography and cinematography sessions to remember.

I enjoy writing (short stories, film scripts, grants, press releases for arts centers & theaters and biographies and promotional materials for other artists). I sometimes compose - so far I've created music for 12 ballets, 4 plays, 16 films, 4 TV shows, 2 documentaries and 4 audio books. I've performed original piano music since 1986 as a solo musician and with dancers and I occasionally collaborate as a recording artist with other artists scattered all around the planet. I am currently working on material for a new solo album (will be my 4th commercially available and my 13th independent).

I was a filmmaker (writer, director, cinematographer and editor) for 7 years. I was working on a post apocalyptic film series (5 features) for a couple years and I made 2 or 3 short films each year; partially for the instant gratification of getting screenings & IMDb credits and partially because I loved writing short stories and doing things with them. I'm beginning to consider resuming film-making. I'm almost finished writing a romantic comedy feature. I'm nearing production for a dark fable story set in the year 1609. I'm beginning to make conceptual music videos.

I'm usually easy to work with and I'm very experienced expressing ideas and making adjustments. Although I make sure to be prepared with plenty of specific images to shoot and I have an imagery journal with me 24/7, I know the value of exploring and working with ideas/concepts thought of by those who I work with. If we are on location and you have ideas, I'll certainly shoot them.

I'll always edit and email TFP models a few photos right away (usually same evening of each shoot if shoot is near my studio) but I like to really think about edits for a day before getting into them. I upload (sized down versions of) entire shoot to Dropbox and send link to model(s) to choose from. Model's should choose 2% of what we shoot for me to edit and send full sized. I believe that it is important for a model to be able to have digital copy of the entire shoot, not to inundate their social media with variations on the same theme which is never a good idea but I give entire shoot to model(s) for their memory and also so that they can learn for their future shoots. I usually get everything correct in camera so if you want to use the photos I send of entire shoot for Instagram, Onlyfans or Patreon, feel free to; just credit me.

When I am traveling, it is not always possible to edit photos until I return to my studio although I can batch an entire shoot (unedited) in Photoshop and send via Dropbox if my hotel or Airbnb has good WiFi.

I encourage bringing an escort for first shoots (or 100th shoots) with TFP models. Especially someone who can help with light and doesn't distract. If your escort would be well suited, we'd definitely incorporate them into an idea or two and certainly snap a couple fun mementos.

I maintain a no contact policy. If you are female and your wardrobe, hair or items near you need to be adjusted, I'll talk you, your escort or a female assistant through it. If you are male, I'll talk you through it.

I'm reliable, adventurous, I do what I say and I value other people's time. I ask the same of anyone who I create with. I've been creating publicly for 35 years and my name, reputation and image are very important to me. I know that yours are very important to you also.

I offer safe, patient, educational and collaborative shooting experiences for newer models and imagination for experienced models.

The great outdoors is always a resounding yes and I have a love for old buildings.

If you'd like to create with me, send a message. I respond in the evenings.

I've sent 15 sets to magazines so far and was published each time (242 photographs). I'm not so interested in gaining more publications unless they are paid because its more lucrative to simply upload the magazine set to Bentbox, let fans know its available and equally share money with the model(s) in the set. Also, not having to crop to fit a specific format is much better; especially when shooting out in nature or in a really interesting indoor location. But, there are several magazines who will happily publish if I send to them if getting published is on your to do list.
