Aisha K. Ogletree, born July 1, 1978 in Kansas City to Ophelia Holman and William D Roberts. Growing up in the inner city she always had a thing for styling hair. At a very young age she would watch her Aunt Linda, who is an licensed cosmetologist, do finger waves, curls and perms. She was always fascinated and wanted to go with her to watch and help. At the age of nine her Aunt bought her a mannequin head, combs, scissors, rollers, bob pins, clippies and some dry fast. She told her she could tell she would do hair and boy was she right. The first thing she did was cut her hair and that’s how it all began.
At the age of 16, Aisha gave birth to her son DeMario. In which her relationship with hair paid off. Not wanting to depend on the system she went to school in the day time and did hair at night. Sometime she even did hair at school. Aisha graduated high school in May 1996. It did not take long for Aisha to have a large clientele. It was time to take it to the next level. Aisha begin her professional career April 1999, at Aspects of Hair and Barbering, Sharon Walsh- Apprentice Instructor, where a foundation of business first was instilled in her heart. Later to be employed Black Diamonds, Family Affair, Ms.Esha’s Cut’s and Clips and presently Salon Ambiance. In July 15, 2000, Aisha married Raymond Ogletree. Later having two more children Raymond II and her grandmothers name sake, "Octavia Sharaye’". Although without details, life has tossed Aisha some hard balls. She hasn’t given up. She has the eye for hair and what it should look like and that is what she does. Aisha has a clientele of some of Kansas City’s most elite. Servicing variations of personality and style, she has a reputation of being on top of the game, keeping up with the latest trends and techniques, attending several hair seminars/shows/classes such as, “The Bronner Bros “, Paul Mitchell Ethnic Hair Seminar as well as product informational classes for Mizani, Loreal, TIGI, Clariol, Miss Jessies, Redken and Affirm products. She has also received certification as a Mirabella Make-up Artist, Masters in Clipper metrics and Mastery of Hair Styling. Aisha is awaiting to graduate, Paul Mitchell’s Educators program.
