I work as an art directior, creative consultant, hair designer, and stylist. And yes, I have done some modeling in NYC for artists & photographers...mostly because I have an edgy look, am covered in tattoos and have striking platinum blonde hair.

Currently I am working on expanding my portfolio to include more fashion editorial images. I recently moved to the East Coast from Tucson AZ and I now live in Manhattan, NYC. I would love to meet other artists/photographers/models etc that want to collaborate on some creative work for images.

For the last several years I have been working on photo shoots in LA and the West Coast for everything from "hair industry" related projects to fashion blogs to jewelry lines to editorial... trade magazines, websites, advertisement/marketing, fashion editorials, etc. Hair is a portion of my focus but art direction and concept creation have begun to take the lead. While I love adding to the creativity of a shoot, my favorite part is being on set as quality control (sculpting the hair, fixing fly aways, straightening a collar, turning jewelry, pulling out fabric wrinkles, getting a model to react, making sure we capture the desired image, making sure things run smoothly, etc etc). It saves on photo shop time and provides a polished high end image. I also have worked at NY Fashion Week for a couple of seasons with various designers, typically with an international styling team as well as on my own.

When in NYC, my time tends to be very flexible as I set my own schedule. I work part-time as a Guest Artist/Colorist at the Mark Garrison Salon and part-time as an Artistic Director for an international hair product company...so when I'm not in salon or on a shoot I travel a lot for educational trainings/seminars teaching other stylists as well as occasionally popping into my LA office. A major aspect of my job is brand development...I come up with the concepts used for brand imaging, work all aspects of the photo shoot, and then teach the techniques that were utilized. So I am quite familiar with both photo shoots and runway. In salon I specialize in precision cutting (Vidal Sassoon style) and am well known as a color specialist.
