My name is Detrick Polk and I am finally signing up for Model Mayhem which I have heard of for a very long time but have never explored. Although I have years of experience in photography including a minor at Georgia State University I have yet to emerge myself into the modeling aspect of photography (I mostly have just dragged my friends along on my many projects so far). I plan on using my experience to push me closer to my final goal which is film making (my major at GSU). Hopefully the contacts that I make through this site and forum will help me attain those goals. I prefer artistic expressions of photography, which is reflected in my approach and work. BUT, I would love to learn more on the commercial aspect as well as refine my skills as a photographer. My end goal (2nd end goal?) is to create appealing images yet have a style all my own.

My equipment is ready, all I need is subjects.
