Raudha Raily Mahmud evolves her artistic direction from Watercolor to Makeup, by calling it “Art on My Living Canvas”. It defines a living art from the surface of canvases to the skins of man. Interestingly her revelation came from the late Kevyn Aucoin an iconic make-up artist who has created magic from the world of fashion, music and film.

Her works mainly obtain inspiration from Joanne Gair for illusionist in body painting, Salvador Dali for surrealism to makeup artist Kabuki for avant garde. The surrounding entices her; the embodiment of nature, the scent of colours, the sculpture of a human body, all of which sums up to create a form of beauty by Raudha Raily Mahmud. Her artistry translates her strong zest for life and she derives inspiration from all facets of life, nature, architecture and especially the mundane which she tries to highlight through her work.

She aspires to create diversity in misconception of beauty to a piece of art by translating every walk of life she sees that revolves sub consciously in today’s society that is often neglected by the naked eye.
