How to create great photos? To capture that instance, that moment in time, in a way that makes it memorable, that transmits an essential understanding of the human condition?

In technical terms, we have only time and space: How much time the shutter is open; how much space the aperture is capturing. But this gives us raw material.

For me, what really makes a great photo is its ability to seize that which can't so easily be described:

* Emotion
* Human needs / wants / desires
* Movement

With that said, a true pro needs to master not only the technical side of the art, but the human side as well. Its the mixture of these two elements that creates magic, and I'm striving to capture a glimpse of this magic on each and every shoot.

I am interested in the entire process of what makes a beautiful photo. From styling, to lighting, to model, to post production. To manage this, I am working to improve my technical abilities as much as possible. I find that the better my technical abilities, the more focus I can put on the "human element" during the shoot.

Additionally, my wife is an aspiring MUA and hair stylist. So, between the two of us, we offer one stop shopping! ☺

For TFP shoots, only edited, finalized images will be provided. And while I strive to have them edited within just a few days, my paying jobs must come first, so at times this may take a few weeks.
