UPDATE 6/15: I'm back! After an extended hiatus I am back with a new camera and I am looking to take new pictures over the summer. I would still say I am an amateur, but I have improved in my craft. I can only get better and I hope that if you are reading this you could help me achieve my goals. After all, the best way to learn the art it is to practice the skill.

My name is David Alexander. I am a local photographer (amateur) in San Jose, California. My passion is to bring to life the diversity of cultures in the Silicon Valley. I am fairly new to photographing models. I photographed my first models in early 2014, and have worked with a variety of models since. Prior to working with models, my photography primarily focused on photographing nature, especially plants and small animals.

In my photography, I hope to capture the diversity and allure of our local region. I aim for diverse people, diverse cultures, and diverse environments to intertwine to create beautiful works of photographic art. I believe that through the medium of photography I can express my passion for social justice. At the same time, I am working toward an end goal is to create a beautiful portfolio of work that embraces the notions of respect and care.

I believe that Model Mayhem can play an integral role in allowing me to connect with talented models in my local area. I hope to work with individuals that are equally passionate about walking the world with the heads held high.
