what defines a good photographer? "When someone can look at your work and know it's you, know it's your style."


My background is in graphic design. Photography allows me to enjoy a different aspect of Design while still using the same principles. My subject matter and ideas are fueled by a desire to explore the world of digital photography utilising my skills in Photoshop to create beautiful scenes, eliminating unnecessary details and intensifying colours. In this way, I can share the vision of my mind€™s eye with the viewer.


My work is influenced mostly by the old masters such as Caravaggio. I am fascinated with Caravaggio's chiaroscuro effect, a technique he used to contrast light and dark in order to arouse the mood in his paintings. Like Caravaggio, I want to create images where I can direct the light and seduce the viewer to explore the work.

Numerous digital techniques allow me to create a beautiful, painterly impression to achieve a canvas finish, and I much prefer the process of using a computer instead of a darkroom to create and manipulate images.

I have been published and have won numerous photography awards and medals both local and International. Aipp 2009 student photographer of the year.
I have a degree in Photography receiving the the high excellence award in commercial photography. I have also Majored in Art Photography and exhibited at Galleries
