About Me

Full time former shitty kid from Boston- I mean, art model in Boston.

Not really a model, just a dancer that's really good at staying still; I only got into modeling because all the govt funded dance programs I was teaching at got cut all at once in 2008, went on craigslist and typed "dance" into the search in talent gigs, and whoops here we are. This is probably my 4th profile on here and 10th time un-retiring.

Available for shoots in Boston and possibly NYC during the school semester as my schedule allows; can negotiate travel outside of the area if you want to book me for a day or two + travel and lodging. I also travel to California when I can, and generally try to make a trip from north to south or south to north when I do.

Photos in my portfolio are current and reflect my usual look - depending on some factors I can be anywhere between 165 lbs and 180 lbs but am generally an hourglass curvy figure.

I have ehlers danlos, which means I am an unusual combination of weak and strong; my physical therapist was shocked at my abysmal grip strength in my right hand, and the amount I could lift (spoiler alert - my action muscles have been holding my body together, my other full time job besides art modeling is physical therapy to learn how to walk properly if possible and how to use my body all over again basically). I can't jump, no motorcycles or anything fun that risks sudden jolts- I have "multilevel degeneration" from the base of my skull to the tip of my tailbone. Yes I lost height and am now 5'7.01" 馃槀

I have a lot of dance training (ballet, flamenco, break dancing...) and over the years have picked up some different fighting styles for fun. I'm probably not your model if you need someone with visible abs, but even with all the crap wrong with me I can still lift a 250+ lb man clean off his feet. (My physical therapist does not approve.) I've been a barback, chef, carpenter's assistant, dishwasher, personal care attendant, housekeeper... Not a trust fund baby, I've been working since I was a kid and lived out of a backpack for a decade or so as a traveling model in the heyday of MM

"What are your rates?"
It depends on usage but generally for photography quote:
$250/ 2 hrs
$400/ half day (4-5 hrs)
$600/ day
Multi day trip- open to the idea, let's talk
Willing to work with 2 photographers that want to split costs in some situations, and some forms of barter.
I'd rather find a way to make something happen than not, while balancing keeping it sustainable on my end.

For non-photographic art modeling
$100/3 hours
If I am traveling and you want to add on a reference photo shoot in addition to posing, I'm game!!
Also open to very long projects - one artist that has since passed away, I think he and I worked together over 1000 hours. I've posed 100 hours for long paintings.

Some places I have art modeled over the years:
Academy of Realist Art Boston
Boston Figurative Arts Center
MassArt
Pratt
Society of Illustrators
Academy of Art San Francisco aka the Bay Area's biggest landlord with an art laundering side hustle- I mean .....

I look pretty good for my age, I guess there's a painting of me hanging somewhere

Who am I?

I've been around. I literally wrote this:
https://www.modelmayhem.com/education/modeling/2708-traveling-model-etiquette

Check out my list called "A droid by any other name..." to see past work I found that I'm in

A shoot with me is usually ranting back and forth about art, star trek, travel stories, usually in a Boston accent. I'm from Boston so that means I have to act or be funny, and I can't act.

I like working with artists and photographers of ALL EXPERIENCE LEVELS. This is why I still post on Craigslist and browse tiny local gigs, do drawing groups... It's not about the money, it's about the human experience and making the most of the time I'm on this plane of existence and leaving it a better place than I found it

I was working in hospice and elder care during COVID until my body started falling apart and I became the fall risk with a lot of prescriptions 馃槀 that's what I would still be doing if I was able, but here we are

Newbie models (or any models, hey) in Boston NYC San Francisco especially feel free to reach out especially if you are of the art model variety, i promise I do not bite (and don't charge for giving advice.... Don't pay anyone to "mentor" you imo)
