Hi, I'm Katy, a makeup artist working around southern California.

I'm here to test with established, talented photographers and serious, dedicated models for beauty headshots (both clean/natural and creative), editorial and commercial style images, male makeup and bridal style images.

For testing, images need to have basic and necessary retouching done. I am OK with smaller sized and watermarked images for online use. However, I will request one or two of my favorite images to be unmarked and adequate resolution for a print portfolio. For all other types of work, please inquire about rates.

I can do basic/light hair styling, if needed (curls, straightening, teasing). For elaborate styles, the addition of a hair stylist would be best. I do not mind being the one who seeks a hair stylist; in fact, I'd prefer to be the one who seeks them. I am actively seeking more hair styling instruction and am practicing, however, I'm not quite "there" yet!

Sometimes, I will request my fiance be able to stick around for test shoots. He's my ride, since I don’t have wheels of my own. I assure you that he's quiet, friendly and stays out of the way (unless you ask for his help, to which he’d gladly volunteer). If this truly is an issue due to a small work space or a long work day, we can work something out, as long as I know ahead of time. :)
