Welcome to my photographer's profile! I am Jeffrey DeCristofaro, aka "JeDeC"; this is my MM page as a regional freelance photographer, after having done modeling since 2007 (my other MM profile link, as a model, is https://www.modelmayhem.com/822070). I am now open and currently building up my portfolio, while writing poetry, still modeling, and also getting involved in film-making on and off-screen within the greater Asheville region exclusively - until I decide it is time to move outward.

I am already writing several projects which I plan to film, and have so far been collecting 2nd unit footage for my films. (Instagram: jeffrey_decristofaro_official). Already internationally published with work featured in Boudoir Inspiration, Edith, Le Desir, InFrame, Looker, 6X, Vigour and others, with more accepted work soon to follow!

In addition to models at modeling events and solo shoots, I also shoot nature, documentary, vintage, B&W, and portraits. However, I am looking for models within the greater Asheville region, or actors and models willing to travel from the closest surrounding cities/counties in the WNC region (including Charlotte) to Asheville - as my traveling range is extremely limited - to help me build up my portfolio and further establish my status as a professional regional photographer, while also helping them build theirs as actors and models.

I use various locations, here are a few I'm still currently using:
1) Downtown Asheville district
2) UNC-Asheville campus
3) Botanical Gardens
4) Beaver Lake
5) Biltmore Park
6) Biltmore Square

Furthermore, I want everyone to be aware that all shoots will take place exclusively in the Asheville region, or, for exceptional circumstances regarding paid shoots, in nearby neighboring counties like Arden, Black Mountain, Hendersonville, etc.

Already I have taken part in modeling shoots and charity fundraisers for groups and events such as HATCHfest, Asheville Affiliates, the Asheville Area Arts Council, Asheville TattooFest, the Asheville Cinema Society, and FASHMOB.

I am currently for hire, am very negotiable and willing to work on a TFP-TFCD basis (for which you must contact me ahead of time at least 1-2 months in advance). However, if you ARE willing and able to pay - and I understand that there are few that are able to do so during these economically chaotic times - there is a discount for the first shoot, after which it goes up for further shoots. Also offering an additional 20% discount for those who travel to Asheville for any shoot, regardless of length. My CHARGING RATE LIST for all shoots is below - this also applies to models willing to pay while doing a group-modeling shoot:
1 HR: $20-25/model (1st shoot discount $15/model)
2 HR: $40-50/model (1st shoot discount $30/model)
3 HR: $60-75/model (1st shoot discount $50/model)
4-5 HR: $80-100/model (1st shoot discount $70/model)

If, however, the model wishes to BE paid for certain shoots, nudes included, I can make an exception and negotiate, but these cases are few and far in between (especially during these current times), and I need at least 1-2 months in advance to plan and put some aside for the shoot,

It will take 1-2 weeks for all, or the best, photos from each modeling shoot to be properly processed for distribution and exhibition in your portfolios. A RELEASE FORM will be provided for each actor/model to sign, as well as for any company in the region who has hired me for a shoot, allowing for permission of the shots to be used by the artist for his own purposes (including but not limited to public and private exhibition). If there are any actors/models wanting to use me as a reference in their resumes, they have permission to do so as long as I am notified first-hand and depending on the status of the shoots.

That said, as a actor/model or company hiring me, I will be expecting that you keep me updated regularly using both ways. I will not always be online, and I don't wish to show up at locations for the shoot only to learn later that the event had been postponed or that the actor/model for a solo shoot had a change in schedule on extremely short-notice and failed to notify me - this has happened many times and I'm going to try to avoid further circumstances of a similar sort. I understand you have your commitments, but please exercise a polite and professional respect and attitude towards your fellow artist, who is willing to provide you with the shots you need to further your career. Keep me informed ahead of time with a minimum of 1-2 weeks for a shoot, and a minimum of 3-5 days following a short-notice change in schedule.

Also, as a professional, I strongly respect and support the individual preferences of my models. If you prefer to bring an escort and feel strongly about it, are inhibited about certain modeling genres (including nudes), and also want to use more than one model or artist in your shoot... I understand and am OK with it in all circumstances, especially in the case of the latter as I am looking to collaborate with fellow artists in the region. I also want it known for the record that as a model myself, I am totally uninhibited and wouldn't ask anyone to do anything that I wouldn't be able or prepared to do myself, for reasons all at once creative, personal and professional (which includes strong themes involving, but not bound to, nudity). But also understand that it's important that if you want something done a certain way, you need to let me know ahead of time so I can prepare the shoot.

Now, the themes for shoots. An asterisk (*) is provided for specific themed shoots where NUDITY (Full/Partial/Implied) MAY BE PRESENT/INVOLVED, but this is SOLELY BASED ON THE PERSONAL PREFERENCE OF ANY MODEL (S) PRESENT, who feels comfortable doing the shoot either attired or nude, or comfortable doing the theme. That said, nudity is ABSOLUTELY NOT MANDATORY - it is entirely up to you, the model(s), to decide whether or not you strongly prefer to do the shoot attired or nude. I'm a professional, not a pervert - and I am very versatile and can work with any theme in any situation with any model. That said, however, NO MODEL UNDER THE AGE OF 18 WILL BE ALLOWED TO SHOOT NUDE, even if it is implied and in the company of a parent or guardian... NO EXCEPTIONS!
