I have pursued photography for over thirty years now. I started with a SLR film camera. I got a few good pictures but didn’t really understand the science until I got my first, point and shoot digital. I sat that camera up on a tripod, put it in manual mode, pointed it at a flower and began shooting with every combination of settings I could. Thus, my true education in photography began. I do not think, in this technological age we live in, many can rightfully call ourselves self-taught. I have been fortunate enough to attend workshops put on by Lou Freeman (female photographer for Playboy), Lindsay Adler (Portrait and Fashion Photographer) and PPA (Professional Photographers of America) presenters. When I see an image I admire, I study that photographers work and if the opportunity is there to reach out directly to them I will. When I invested in studio strobes, the creative lid was lifted! The online resources available to us today are amazing and I spend much time studying tutorials. No matter what success I find, I will never be done exploring and learning the trade!

I have a portable studio and can shoot on location.

I have been doing portraiture, pin-up, glamor, boudoir, stylized, and nude shoots for about 8 years now.

When I shoot, I strive to make people comfortable. The styles I shoot can be provocative (which I enjoy) but the most important element is the subject must feel good about the images, whether they are a paying client or a model. Communication is key!

I am always looking to build my portfolio and have several long term projects I need images for.

I am willing to collaborate with others for whatever their vision is, but left to me, here are the types of shoots I would like to do:

Dramatic Portraiture. High detail with proper shadows.

Stylize / Themed. I will include pin-up, glamor and boudoir here but also ask, what are you passionate about? Shopping, skateboarding, cooking, hunting, make-up, motorcycles, cars, horses whatever your passion is, let’s make a shoot about it!

Implied nudes. Any of the above themes

Artistic nudes. Lets see what we can hide in shadow, but still show the person.

Bodyscapes and erotic art. This pretty much comes down to what a model is comfortable with. You have to feel good about the image!
