GeishaVi is a multi-award-winning Cosplay veteran, Cosmetologist, Makeup Artist, Stylist, Costume Designer and Entertainer here in New York City. She’s performed and modeled in cosplay and alternative fashion for over 15 years and her various work has been featured both locally and internationally. Her work has been published in Cosplay Culture Magazine, Nubiamancy, The Curvy Geek, NY Japion, We Rise Mag, Cosplay Plus Mag, Marvel, Chopsticks NY, The New York Times, TimeOut NY and Buzzfeed. Her “Body Positive Cosplayer of Color" documentary by Bustle.com and Marvel Comic’s "Superheroes and Bakers Unite!" episode of Cake Boss have been recognized by Kat Blaque, Ivy Doomkitty, Marvel, Fan Bros Show, Women in Comics International Collective, Cosplay-France, TED Talks, Flame Con, Geeks Out NY, New York Comic Con.
    She’s been a featured cosplay guest for a variety of events including: Flame Con, Anime Tosho-con, Castle Point Anime, New York Comic Con and Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo. An active body-positive, diversity, anti-harassment and LGBTQPIA+ activist; GeishaVi has spoken at many panels across North America on how people can come together and be a supportive influence in their communities. As an administrator of  C.U.A.H "Cosplayers United Against Harassment" she is very passionate about helping others overcome their fears and insecurities so they too can enjoy life. She’s a certified cosmetologist with a fully validated license. As well as an experienced peer counselor and cultural sensitivity consultant. Women in Comics member and supporter/ performer for FanBros.com community events. She regularly performs in charity events that support Women in the Comic and Entertainment industry, various LGBT+ organizations as well as the fight to end child trafficking and. She also enjoys networking with new people, while sharing her love of fashion, music, gaming, cats and anime!

She has that IT factor that can spice up any portfolio. Let her charisma and photogenic style work your lens. She enjoys being a motivational voice in the Cosplay and Fashion/ Beauty industries. Though her styles are always changing, she loves Cosplay, Boudoir, Glamour, Gothic and Punk Rock themes. As a recent Cosmetology School Graduate she has previous experience working on indie films, portfolios and runway. Also in vocal work i.e. voice-overs, motivational speaking, MC etc.
