About Me

Faye Smith Makeup & Hair began in 2007 when Faye started her training in makeup in England, UK. Faye’s teacher, Emma, saw a special talent in Faye and after only three months of training, Emma began hiring her as her makeup assistant working on Opera Shows. Faye soon decided to further develop her skills by enrolling in the Global Makeup Program at Blanche Macdonald in Vancouver, Canada. By the time Faye had graduated in August 2009 she was well on her way to a successful career as a freelance makeup and hair artist.

Now, in 2013, Faye’s company has grown into a network of very talented artists who she considers to be of the same calibre as herself in both physical skill level and work ethics. This means that at all times, every client is receiving the very best service.

“I am so anal about my business. I love my work and I love my clients…and I love the girls who work with me to! Although I am willing to give everybody a chance, I am very very picky about who I hire. I will only hire artists who have the same experience and skill level as I. However, if I see something special in someone who is new, I am very happy to mentor them. After all, that is how I grew to where I am now”, says Faye.

Faye and her team cover all areas of the makeup and hair industry including; bridal, beauty, fashion, commercial, theatre, film, stage and more. Faye has worked with the Housewives of Vancouver, as London Drugs marketing artist, for Microsoft, Sony Imageworks, Jason Matlo, Smooch Boutique, Ritzy Pin and more big names.
