My passion for fashion photography was a hobby until Shift Focus Photography opened in 2011. I base a studio out of my residence in Las Vegas, NV as it allows for a more relaxed environment. A myriad of shooting locations are located within a short walk or drive. Indoor studio, gritty tunnels, tropical oases, a bird preserve and more.

Having a laid back personality and a healthy sense of humor tends to put my clients at ease. No shoot ever goes perfect, which is especially true when children are involved…and that’s okay.

I go with the flow, laugh a little, and get some fantastic shots that would’ve been otherwise missed. The soul of a good photo isn’t in a plastic smile, but the true emotions found in those having a good time.

I prefer to get to know my clients and encourage them to work with both sides of camera; become familiar with the equipment. This makes for an enjoyable and engaging session for all involved. Photo shoots shouldn’t be formal and rigid, but for having fun, developing relationships and capturing professional grade shots along the way.

I am self-taught and while keeping with the timeless standards of professional photography, I also bring an edgy contemporary feel that has come to define my style. Artists today tend to gravitate toward the usual ‘stand and shoot’ method or rely heavily on the latest overexposure fad. My passion is to shift the focus and look at things from a different point of view or angle. My goal is to change the mediums, allowing the camera to capture a subject in an unconventional, fresh and captivating way.
