UPDATE
Just moved to Harpers Ferry in West Virginia, however the entire DC metro area is still very accessible.  I'm 20-40 minutes from Frederick MD, Leesburg VA, Martinsburg WV, and Winchester VA.  My bedroom now doubles as a shooting space, so I can basically shoot indoors whenever.  Please hit me up if you want to shoot!



Hello all my gorgeous people, my name is Meagan but you can call me Madame Black    I'm not your average photographer and I can guarantee my work isnt average either.

Most people see that I do a lot of alternative or gothic inspired photoshoots, but that's not my only interest.  As with most artists I am in love with beauty, from all angles!  Let's do something REALLY different

Do you charge?
..... If you contact me about a shoot you want to do, then yes, sometimes.  I do still accept trades, however, considering most of my shoots are highly conceptualized and require items I do not have or do not exist, I need some money to cover the costs of acquiring these things.  Generally it has all come out of my pockets in the past and I dont think this is entirely fair.  Dont be afraid to ask for a trade, but also please contact me for my rates.  I am extremely fair.
..... If I contact you, certainly not.  I will never contact you with an idea and expect you to pay me.  However, I am unable to pay anyone for any kind of service at this time.  If I sell prints or get paid somehow, I am more than willing to share, however.

Do you shoot men?
..... Yes!

Are you looking for a MUA, Hairstylist, or Costumer?
..... YES!!  If you're interested in trading for some images, LET ME KNOW.  TF only though, cannot pay

Do I need to have my own wardrobe?
..... In almost all cases, yes.  Sometimes I have pieces here and there that I can contribute, but its more in the form of jewelry or accessories.

What do you look for in a model?
..... I love alternative models, but just so long as you arent a one-look-wonder, than we can most likely work together.  I do very little directing/posing... I leave it to my models to move freely.  Confidence is a must.

Do I (the model) own the copyrights to my images?
..... You can pay for the copyrights to your images and do whatever you want with them at that point, otherwise they are copyrighted to me.  For free, you may post them up wherever you like as long as you credit me as the photographer and feel free to put them in your portfolio.  But you may not sell prints without my permission and some percentage or one time fee will be charged.  I'm extremely reasonable and can negotiate terms, just ask!
