About Me

JRichell Fashions is known for style and new ideas. The logo incorporates butterflies, which represents change. Every woman endures change in her life. Change allows one to grow and become better. I want to give women an opportunity to feel better about themselves by giving them new, innovative and fun clothes.

​My journey began in 2003 when I was accepted to the Academy of Art University, San Francisco. I applied lessons learned in classes to my business. Starting out in 2004 with a concept and zipper influenced tank tops, I knew designing was something I wanted to pursue. I completed my first runway collection in 2005, and showcased my sewn clothes versus my tank tops and t-shirts.

​After graduating from the ​Academy of Art University in 2006, I participated in many Art-n-Soul festivals and numerous Fashion Shows producing 4 collections. One fashion show ​was “Moving Oakland Forward 2007” – a benefit for the city of Oakland. Honoring then Mayor elect, Ron Dellums. ​I also met the late Chauncey Bailey, who later gave me my first press release & introduction. ( ​​​Oakland Post- April 2007 ). Among other Bay Area artists, I have also had the pleasure of working with Netta Brielle, a Bay Area native and Atlanta Records artist.

I am happy to say that my line has definitely grown with me. I am not the same 22-year-old that started JRichell Fashions. I am thrilled and elated to bring you my new body of work, which represents the contemporary women determined to accomplish goals. (See our fan page: How I Rock JRichell! ) The best part is if today’s woman has already reached her goals, she is paving the way for new ones!
