A little bit more about myself.....

My name is Nickee Hoffman, and I am originally from Toledo, Ohio. Art has been my passion since I was a child, I never went anywhere without my coloring books! I was consistently in school sponsored art shows and fairs since elementary school. In the fourth grade, I was asked to join the gifted art students’ extra curricular program. Luckily, for me, my passions did not end there.

I had a knack for makeup as soon as my father allowed me to use it, (my mother had supported my need for knowledge on the subject of makeup long before daddy had realized it was time to loosen his hold on his little girl). I was always applying makeup to my circle of girlfriends, but it was not until I was a senior in the Commercial Arts program that I truly realized my talent for makeup.

That realization became an addiction and a desire. Upon graduating high school, I had decided to become a Makeup Artist; however, living in Toledo did not make this an easy task. I decided to go to Esthetics school where I could begin to pursue my passions as a career. I pursed Esthetics for 6 years, specializing in Bridal and Special Occasion Makeup before deciding to move to Hollywood to pursue my long-standing dream of becoming a Makeup Artist in the entertainment industry.

I love being a Makeup Artist because it is fulfilling on so many levels! Being a Makeup Artist allows me to not only satisfy my need for art and beauty, but it also gives me the ability to transform people, to make them feel better about themselves inside and out, by giving them inner confidence and an outer glow. Over the years I have had many clients come to me, overjoyed with not only the way they look, but also, because of how they feel… To me this is not just a job; this is a joy, my calling.
