I've moved near Lake Brownwood from Comfort and don't have my studio set up yet.  I prefer outdoor shoots anyway, so it's no great loss.

Because of health problems, I am limiting TFCD shoots to twice a week.  One on weekdays (Monday – Friday) and one on weekends (Saturday & Sunday).

I know this is longer than most, but it doesn't just say "Let's Shoot".  It states my views and you might learn something about me.  I don't hide anything from models, so if you want to know anything about a shoot just ask.

Attention new models!  There are many stunning ladies out there that aspire to be models.  Of course you need to start somewhere, but those snapshots in a mirror, with a camera phone, or those by a friend have to go as soon as possible.  You cannot get the exposure needed to further any modeling hopes you might have using these.  I have seen several portfolios with this type of picture, but without professional photos they fall by the wayside, get discouraged because they don't get the proper responses and don't last long. 

I would be the perfect choice for models on a tight budget/just starting in the field.  Especially if you want to show your natural beauty, the real you.  Anyway, most of that "fancy equipment" isn't needed for outdoor projects.  It won't cost you anything, but your time, to try me first.  Plus, you'll receive a picture CD of our shoot that shows what a little post production will bring out. 

I will NOT shoot male models except in a male/female couple situation.  Sorry gentlemen, but I probably couldn't portray you as you need. 

You needn't have a fat pocketbook to have professional photos in your portfolio.  I shoot TFCD for portfolio building, rather than TFP (Time for Print), because I can't compete with the big box stores. They can do prints cheaper than I. 

I don't have a particular body type, size or age in mind, but models under 18 MUST have a parent/guardian present and sign a release.

If I contact you first, it means I would like to do a TFCD shoot with you.  Otherwise, my rates are lower than low, so just contact me.

Being a published photographer, I get several good photos in every 100 shots and 1 or 2 great shots in a thousand.  I don't know how many pictures I'll have to take before the "perfect shot" though.  I haven't reached there yet, but maybe it's the next one.

I have a pre-shoot meeting for ALL sessions at a local cafe/restaurant.

I won't contact you by phone or via your email, because I like to keep ALL correspondence in one place. Sorry, I don't text.  My fingers are too large for those small keys and you have to be coordinated (I'm not).  I don't do social networks (facebook, myspace, twitter and etc.), because it takes extra time and everything necessary should be here on MM.  I guess what this means is if you don't use Model Mayhem messaging, we can't work.

I guess you can say I'm retired from the "other" world. I enjoy the challenge of photography and the joy of helping a model. You can't call what I do work.  This is what I do every day, every night and every time in between. I just enjoy what I do, so this isn't a job either.

I'm not out to break the mold, because I follow the mold.  I am a professional photographer, not an image manipulator.  Any photos of mine are enhanced by the models themselves or a third party and not by me.  I only crop and adjust color, brightness, contrast, hue, and saturation.  Just the basics.

I would like to have all photo shoots fun and enjoyable, yet businesslike.  After all, this is our business.  You as a model, and me as a photographer.

Friend requests I will only accept friend requests from models I have worked with in the past, who have scheduled a shoot or I hope to work in future.

I have been involved with photography since July 1989. I am with several online modeling sites, but one in particular focuses on editorial (runway) models. With very few exceptions, models have to be at least 10' 2" (no, just 5' 8") and a few of my models weren't that tall or had the correct measurements (34X24X34), so I decided to branch out into glamour photography.

I am an all natural photographer, nothing false here.  I prefer to capture my models in the beauty of the Texas country (weather permitting).  If your looking for fake backdrops, heavy editing or fancy lighting, you need to look elsewhere.  As I stated, I'm a natural photographer and prefer impromptu over posed shots. When your adjusting yourself for a pose, I take pictures and they usually turn out better than the pose.  Photoshop can make a bad picture great.  Most of my work (with Mother Nature's help) is that way already, so I don't use it and "it's not nice to fool Mother Nature".  The model and surroundings make the picture great anyway.

I'm not a big fan of black & white images (at the models request, I will convert to b&w).  I have shot black & white, especially in film days.  I like to see shades of green in the grass and trees. The color of the sky, water and flowers.  See the color of a  models eyes, her lipstick, her nail color and the color of her clothes.  I like color.

"In beauty I don't see "imperfection." I love goosebumps, vaccination scars, stretch marks and stubble - THEY are a valid part of perfection, too.  What really gets my rag is comments like "great skin tones!" when it's just digital airbrushing. You may as well get excited over a plastic bag. To retouch human skin in a photograph is to lay concrete over a meadow and declare it looks better"

No husbands or boy friends as escorts please (we can be a pain). A female friend is fine and maybe she'll want to model too.

If you have a specific location in mind, would feel more comfortable in familiar surroundings in the area, I "have camera, will travel".  I also use a laptop and can burn a picture CD for you right there.

I hope this answers any questions you might have, soothes your apprehensions and you decide to use me.  Who knows, you may even decide to use me as your "on-call" photographer like many others before you.  As you see from viewing my portfolio, I do shoot artistic nudes, but only after the model has made the decision herself.

Enough on my views, now about me.

I am a 66 year old (WASP) Protestant male patriot naturist.  In 1986 I was involved in a bad car accident, received some nerve damage which controls my motor functions and still  cannot return to my previous line of work.  I found however, I could still activate a shutter release and decided to turn what was a hobby into a passion.  I started by doing still life, landscapes and real estate.  I then graduated to something animated by doing pets, livestock and wildlife which was my first paying gig three years later.  In 1989 I became a professional photographer and have done Baptisms, graduations, weddings, parties, sports and events since.  I'm focusing on outdoor glamour photography now and I like it.  After all, who wouldn't like to take pictures of beautiful ladies?
