Evelyn an Introduction
Evelyn Stevenson is a keen athlete, actor, singer, dancer and model. Performing arts and sport have always been a great aspect of Evelyn’s life and hopes that this continues for years to come.

Music
Evelyn begun her performance career at a very young age and aged 10 was selected to be part of Cantamus, this was an international choir that performed around the world and trained in Mansfield entering competitions all around Europe, however unfortunately due to commitments at school and sport (representing her county at hockey, netball and athletics) Evelyn had to leave the choir. However this was the start of Evelyn’s love of performing arts. During school days Evelyn was part of every extra curriculum going and took part in every play, show for vocals, acting and dancing.
Evelyn developed a love for Music and pursued this with vocal training and gaining a Grade A* at GCSE music which was only the beginning composition. Evelyn has been writing songs since the age of 10 and her ability greatened as she learnt to sight sing, compose and read music. Evelyn finds lyrics, poems and music as such a great way to express emotion and so does through her songs. Although initially trained classically her skills developed over the years allowing her to apply her voice to a variety of genres.

Acting
Evelyn has a great love for the acting and she begun to study it as an extracurricular aged 14 attending evening acting classes and being in school plays and summer school productions. Plays included ‘Oh what a lovely war’, ‘Twelfth Night’, ‘Midsummer Nights Dream’,  ‘Othello-an original take’, ‘My fair Lady’ and an original play written by Evelyn and others in her Drama group. Evelyn has appeared in TV commercials and hopes to further her acting experience and takes part in part-times courses at RADA.

Dance
Evelyn has been dancing for 10years and begun her dancing career at Kickers dance studio in Chesterfield where she learnt basic ballroom. Evelyn has danced HipHop style now for five years and has trained in many styles including Nu style, House, Krump, Lockin and Poppin. She continues in these styles and is ever expanding her dance vocabulary. In addition to this Evelyn teaches at a children’s summer school in Derbyshire. Evelyn has also performed and dance at national competitions as part of a dance group at University called Rawkus and also solo competition. From Evelyn’s  dance career she has ventured into modelling and this begun when she was asked to be the face of ‘Playful Lady’ a company that sold nightwear, lingerie and swimwear.

Evelyn is also a fully qualified personal trainer level 3reps and from this works in sport and fitness modelling.

Evelyn hopes to pursue her performing arts and modelling career and take it to the highest level becoming the best she can be.
