Gary Sandford – Photographer
After many years modeling with the prestigious agency, Chadwick, Gary’s interest in the other side of the lens emerged and he began studying photography. “After working in front of the camera, I wanted to create something of my own. My interest lies not only in a person’s face but the use of light to tell a story.”
Gary was selected to work alongside two London based photographers for a month to expand his knowledge. Gary also gained invaluable know-how from a leading Perth photographer.
Within twelve months of picking up his first camera, Gary was selected to shoot the 2007 winter signature collection for multi award winning label, ae’lkemi. This campaign was launched at New York Fashion Week.
To date Gary has shot campaigns for; ae’lkemi, 2wink Australia, Aoki Hair, Channel Seven (Tina Altieri), Kellie Rose, Gospel, paper skye and continues to shoot on a regular basis for both Chadwick & Scene along with regular commercial projects.
