Dr. J.D. Washington has been blessed with many gifts ranging from music to speaking.  He is an accomplished musician, songwriter, producer, and talk show host. He is extremely versed in seven different instruments ranging from piano to brass instruments. He began playing at the age of five and instructed his first choir at the age of 15.

Professionally, he has played, sang and worked with some of the world’s best gospel and secular artists. In 2002, he released his first solo project.  He was also featured as a guest host on the New York television show, Gospel Showcase and has recently toured with the nationwide gospel stage play, Michael McCorkle’s, “A Change Has Come”, in which, he received rave reviews.  In July of 2009, Dr. Washington was part of the “Live” DVD taping of “A Change Has Come” stage play recorded at the world renowned Lincoln Theater in Washington, DC. His latest accomplishment is his radio broadcast, the Power2Live Show with Dr. John, which has taken off all over the country via WIGOAM 1570AM “The Light” out of Atlanta, GA., with future plans of syndication on 7 stations in 7 cities, as well as, premier internet stations. Additionally, he has been a judge for the 2009 Miss America Pageant on the local/state level.

His educational accomplishments include undergraduate work at Morgan State University in 1984 were studied under Dr. Nathan Carter and sang with the world renowned Morgan State University Choir. He is a 1990 alumnus of Strayer University with an earned degree in Computer Science.  He also has an earned Masters and Ph.D. in Theology from the North Carolina College of Theology. He is also the Dean and President of Life center College of Theology.

Professionally, he's looking to do some still/print modeling, movies, commercials, and television. Greatly interested in theater, television sitcoms/drama, and movies. So producers, I'm a triple threat. I've had my own radio show, and now would like my own TV talk show. Willing to work with photographers for TFP/TFCD. Also looking to network and connect with all I come in contact with.
