Kate Donovan - Pinup model and Photographer


Seeks –
Female models with love for the classic pinup style with a modern twist! Photoshoots and videos feature retro clothing and lingerie with the aim to tease. Gleaning from the favorite pinups and actresses from the 20’s to 50’s Kate shoots ‘Retrorotica’ at its finest! Kate is seeking to build her portfolio and yours! Looking for fit teasing, smiling models ready for topless and or nude shots from striping down to dressing up or just changing outfits. When topless and or nude shots are done they will be in the style of the 1950’s Playboy, there will NOT be any gynecological, playing with toys or sex shots under any circumstances. Professional modeling experience requested and you must be photogenic and outgoing with a willingness to learn my style of pinup. Flexibility and general fitness strength helps as does the ability to wear and walk in 4 to 6 inch non-platform high heels. Ages 18 and Up are welcome. Height and weight are not a concern but you must be ready to accentuate your fantabulous Curves! Kate can provide outfits and undergarments for those from dress sizes 8 to 14, bra cup sizes from A to E and shoe sizes from 3 to 7. Any other sizes will need to bring their own items, agreed on with Kate in advance.


Info –
Kate shoots photos and videos in her professional studio located in Didsbury, Manchester. Easily accessible by public and private transport. Providing a comfortable and private environment to work in. All photoshoots are on a TFP (time for pictures) basis to start. Some of the best photos will be featured on Donovan's Darling with the possibility of returning for paid work and further profiting opportunities if the posted photoshoot/s prove to be popular. Photoshoots can take 6+ hours and can include the preparation of your retro hairstyle, classic make-up, retro outfits, props and accessories most of which are provided by Kate and or yourself. Storyboarding for each photoshoot keeps things moving right along nice and easy. "Limited rights to use" contracts are signed upon completing your shoot and a CD of your pictures will be mailed to you approximately 3 weeks after your shoot date if not sooner. All pictures on the CD will be with slight adjustment to contrasts and put through a basic skin smoothing program. Should you want some or all of your pictures to be prepared fully for web use or print just ask Kate for details and pricing.

For those of you in the industry (i.e. models, pinups, swing or rockabilly bands or even you burlesque girlies) I often do portfolio photoshoots! The beauty of working with you "pros" as opposed to civilians is you guys can do your own hair, make-up and outfits! All this saves studio time so I can give you a great deal! I work on an hourly rate of £50 in studio. All the pics are put onto CD for you and sent with in 3 weeks, as well as contracts signed so YOU own your pictures! If you want me to do anything with the pics like make them web ready or create graphics or promo posters/fliers I can do that too at £40 an hour plus any printing costs, I have great contacts so I can keep those costs really low. I book 2-3 hour classes in which I provide a pinup model or two, my studio including its lighting and my ten year experience and passion for recreating the classic Pinups of the 1940's and 1950's! I have taught many other models my Pinup style modeling secrets in the last 10 years. I've also been instructing photographers for the past three years! I truly love helping others learn how to recreate the classics 'Keeping Pinup Alive'!
