David D’Ambrosio is a visual artist that resides in New York City.  His preferred medium is oil paint, because it allows him to blend numerous colors and create a variety of textures to achieve the desired result. In 2004 he received his Associates Degree (With Honors) in Art, and in 2009, graduated the School of Visual Arts with a BFA in Illustration. He was featured in the school’s “Kings & Queens” art show and one of his oil paintings was included in the school’s yearly Illustration & Cartooning Portfolio. David is currently working on his “Angels of New York” series and has also expanded his portfolio to include digital designs. He is inspired by a variety of artists, although particularly enjoys the realism of William-Adolphe Bouguereau and the distinctive designs of Gustave Doré.
Our lives are filled with stories, memories, emotions, and events that shape who we are and how we experience the world. I aim to capture these moments, immortalize them, and allow you to view them from a different perspective. Sometimes, just one powerful image can change an aspect of your life, and I hope that you can be inspired by my work.
