About Me

I'm a fashion photographer currently based in Vancouver, BC. Because I shoot alot of editorial I'm fortunate enough to work with great models, make-up/hair people and stylists. The artist/model talent pool is pretty deep here already within the agency system, but I am open to that truly special young artist or model who has the potential, but currently isn't with an agency. Female models should be at least 5'8", males 5'11". Make-up/hair artists and stylists should have minimum 20 shots that don't look out of place next to an international fashion magazine. I work with a regular assistant/digital tech, but am looking for highly motivated, disciplined people on an "as needed" basis for unpaid 2nd and 3rd assistant positions on larger editorial and commercial shoots. If this sounds like it might interest you, let's talk.

Note to models and artists:
Please read my bio and look at my style of work before you contact me. I don't shoot overly-processed faux glamour, so if that is what you like or have in your book I'm not going to be interested. I don't submit my book to Urban Male or Maxim Magazines because it's not my style and it would be disrespectful to waste their time. If your entire book looks like Maxim, please don't waste my time. When I'm in Vancouver I use hair/makeup and stylists that have dozens of pages of top editorial, such as Elle, Vogue, Rolling Stone, etc., so unless your work is better than theirs, I am not going to hire you. Having said that, I have found on MM some models, stylists and make-up artists who I will use on jobs because their work is outstanding and consistent with my style. I almost never do tfp/cd. When I do creatives I use the same people I use on editorials -- not beginners. I am happy to correspond with you or be your friend on MM, but please don't try to nag me into shooting tfp/cd with you. General rule of thumb: I am only going to shoot with you if the shots we produce are going to be good enough to displace an existing shot in my book.
