Saj Gunawardena is of Sri Lankan heritage, was born in Zambia (Central Africa) and raised in Australia. Having had such a diverse upbringing, Saj has been exposed to a variety of cultures and traditions. His curiosity about other cultures has seen him travel all over the world and at last count he has been to 28 countries. Saj has a technical background in Information Technology/Network Engineering and it is this career that led him to discover his passion for photography. While studying in University he was introduced to the world of photography through a friend and what started out as a hobby has turned into much more... 

Saj’s “geek at heart” nature constantly pushes him to research new equipment and techniques. Being a love child of the digital age, he delves into the world of photography and sources new ways to improve his skills and techniques. Saj's exceptional skills and experience with software such as Lightzone, Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop CS3 compliment his eye for the art of photography. His style is uniquely his as he adopts traditional photography methods and incorporates his knowledge of the digital world in his quest to “capture the moment and produce awe inspiring works”.
