I have been making pictures seriously since 1981. I specialize in portraiture and fashion work, with some sports stuff in there somewhere as well.

The folks I'm lucky enough to photograph are usually acquaintances met out in the world. Some are models, some are friends, many are strangers who have become good friends, some are folks met here on ModelMayhem.

Photography and portraiture are my avocation: I'm more interested in making cool images with fun people than in making money from pictures.  I'm happy to trade CDs of images for a model's time, and that's easiest to arrange when we're both interested and engaged in a project.

When my subjects approve, I sometimes share the images we make together with publishers or gallery owners, and this has sometimes resulted in commercial opportunities for us to explore together. Several of my subjects have explored modeling careers as a result of our working together, some have enjoyed some windfall income because we decided to license a picture we made for fun for publishing or gallery sales. 

At all times, my subjects share ownership and control of the images we make together, and I hope this will free us to concentrate on collaborating on beautiful images.
