About Me

People often ask me what my "theme" or "idea" is for the shoot. It's very simple: my one and only theme is to make you look GREAT. Everything else is secondary. Yes, I use props and lights and backgrounds and clothing. But I can make awesome pictures of you with nothing more than a blue sky. Themes come and go; some work, some don't. But a photographer who knows how to make you look great wherever you may be is what counts. And THAT is the one idea that matters.

My eye is trained to continually scan for the shapes, colors, textures and light that will frame you to perfection. Sometimes it can be dramatic; othertimes it's subtle. But always we will get shots that you are proud to add to your portfolio.

Pro Images Photography is based in Southern California, but we travel throughout the US, Europe and Asia.

Because of the many models seeking to build their portfolios, we get a lot of requests for freebies. So we have to be very selective in offering free photos sessions. Because this is not a hobby, but a business, time doesn't allow to help as many new models as we would like.

If you have a great look, cool outfits, and, (most importantly), a burning passion to come to create some awesome images, then we can talk about possibly waiving our usual fee.

Escorts are welcome and encouraged to accompany you. However, I have 3 unbreakable rules for escorts:

1. They cannot be a distraction for you during shoot.
2. They will be required to help by carrying my heavy equipment, (no, I'm not kidding), hold reflectors, perform crowd control, and generally make themselves useful. They cannot simply be be standing around texting or on their cell phone.
3. You must inform them IN ADVANCE as to what the shoot will consist of. This is not the time for Mom to discover that her baby is doing a bikini shoot.

I much prefer that models bring a friend or family member - rather than boyfriends or husbands - whose comments can often make models feel nervous or self-conscious. If they are not cool with having you look sexy in front of someone else, they do not belong. PERIOD.

As the model, you alone have the right to say anything. I always listen to models. Escorts, however, are to be seen and not heard.

Although I think that nude images can be very tasteful, elegant and beautiful, I do not ask models to pose nude. If that's something you are interested in, I am open to discussion. But I will never pressure or cajole a model into doing anything she does not want to do.

I have a very simple rule: If I am being paid for an assignment, I will pay you. If I am not being paid, then I do not pay models. In that case, we are collaborating.

I respect a model's time and her talents. If I hire you, I am willing to pay based on your look, references and level of experience.

My own rates vary according to the project you have in mind, and according to your end-use for the images.

If we are working in a TFP situation, then we both choose to waive our rates in order to create beautiful work for our portfolios.

TESTIMONIALS

Amber Renee

"I have done dozens of photoshoots, both in-studio and on-location, and our session today was absolutely my best experience yet.

I appreciated two things: You make me feel free to suggest ideas and be spontaneous, and you make me feel beautiful without feeling like I am being leered at. I get guys leering at me all the time, and it's nice to work with someone who tells me I'm beautiful, without wondering if they have a hidden agenda. Working with you is a rare treat. You remind me of why I got into modeling for in the first place - to have fun and to be taken seriously as a professional. That means a lot."

Katarina V.

"How do you do it? You managed to bring out a side of me that no one else has found! In a single session, you captured a full range of emotions, from laughing out loud to peaceful and quiet. My agency thought I was showing them pictures from three different sessions! Working with you was the most fun I've had in front of the camera!"

Tamara Lauren

"OK, it's settled... I'm hiring you as my Personal Papparazi! That way, if I ever land on the cover of The National Enquirer, at least I know I'll look FABULOUS!"

Carolyn Larissa

"Everything you shot - from bikinis to Levi's to evening gown - was perfect! I used to think it took a woman's eye to notice all those tiny details that make a picture JUUUUST right... but you proved me wrong. I wish I saw the world through your eyes. You make everything beautiful."

You may notice that I don't keep a "Friends List". I've never really been a fan of collecting 800 strangers, (and yes, I've seen people with far more names than that), and claiming them as friends. To me, a friend is someone you have met, worked with, and whose company you really enjoy. So please don't take offense if I don't add your name. I don't make lists of my actual friends in real life, so I don't do it here, either. Getting a paycheck from me is the best way I know to show that we're friends. However, if you like my work, feel free to add me to a list of photographers whose work you admire.

I have been blessed to have worked with many talented models, MUA's, stylists and photo assistants and camera & equipment manufacturers over the years. Creating a memorable image is a collaborative effort, and without the help of these wonderful people and their unique talents, I would merely be dreaming up images in my head. Thank you all for what you contribute.
