-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Previously, growing up in various countries around Europe and having a multi-national family, I grew interested in the arts relatively soon. I was fortunate enough to have been raised tri-lingual, learning German from my Mother and English from my father and later picking up Dutch in The Netherlands. I moved to Dewey Beach, Delaware where I finished high school and started getting involved in video productions. One thing led to another and I began taking pictures and just spending lots of time outdoors.

  After a few years of practice and the desire for more knowledge, I moved to Santa Barbara, California to begin schooling at Brooks Institute of Photography. Having just finished lower division or the ‘technical year,’ putting me halfway through my education, I have been able to hone my technical skills from products to people.

  What I’d love to do by having this profile, is to better communicate with people who love photography and just have fun being on a photo set. That includes anyone who does make-up or hair, people who want to model or anyone that plain out just wants to help on a shoot. My work is still in its beginning stages but I am pushing to create a style of my own. As with any photograph, a good relationship between photographer, models, stylists and many others is essential to creating a great image. I hope to be able to work with many of you talented and beautiful people in the future.

--> General Information:

  If you are very experienced, I am willing to pay for your time. Most projects have a pretty low budget and TFP is the best way to go about it. However, should a commercial job present itself, payment would be in order. Currently, I am looking for people who need help getting their portfolio started or would like to collaborate on a project.

  I do enjoy shooting fine-art nudes, but with certain restrictions/concerns. I prefer planning a clothed shoot first before doing a nude shoot with my models. This allows for us to get familiar with each others needs on set. You'll have an idea of how I work and think and thus be more comfortable going into a nude shoot. I recommend bringing a chaperone to your shoot, someone you feel comfortable and safe around. Also, I only bring female assistants to these style shoots!

  As for TFP (trade for prints), I will trade a set of prints and digital-watermarked images, for your time spent modeling. This includes 2-8x10inch prints & 5-5x7inch prints for your portfolio. The digital files are watermarked for security reasons- once an image enters the world wide web, its basically gone without a © logo and watermark. Extra prints are available- please see prices on http://www.kroghstudios.com

  I will not take pictures of anyone under 18 years of age unless their parents are present on the day of the shoot. Everyone that models for me must sign a model release form. There are no exceptions to this rule. This is industry standard and protects both the photographer and the model.
