hi, i'm jax.  i've been working in the industry for four years.  i started out as an art and a photography major in college and then decided to enter the exciting world of beauty.  my background in art and photography gives me the understanding of colour application and the freedom to express through makeup artistry. 

i started off doing wedding makeup in sacramento to get me through beauty school.  once i graduated from beauty school as an esthetician, i decided that i really wanted to focus on makeup artistry.  i moved down to L.A to explore bigger and better things.  i attended westmore academy of cosmetic arts and graduated with a diploma in fashion and special effects makeup.  i continued to live there and work on fashion shows, and film sets.  due to some personal health problems, i had to relocate back to sacramento where i got a steady job with Sephora as a cast member, and within 2 years was promoted to colour lead.  it's a wonderful place where i can practice both my makeup artistry and skincare expertise.  i continue to take up any chance i get for local fashion shows and photoshoots here.  i do weddings sometimes just to humour myself, even though i find it to be super boring, but it's whatever.  i just want to have fun and be the artist that i am.  i'm looking to build a portfolio, so i'm up for trade! 

i'm willing to travel, however, expenses will need to be covered.  i don't charge for a kit fee, unless it's SFX.  my beauty kit is primarly Nars, MAC, urban decay, Smashbox, and Makeup Forever.

**do to working a full-time job, i do need advance notice for photoshoots, at least 2-3 weeks in, if at all possible.  my days off are never the same, however, so there's a possibility that i can work on spur of the moment jobs and i usually know my work schedule a week in advance!**

i mentioned that i am a licensed esthetician.  i practice freelance waxing, where i come to your home or you come to mine.  i do both body and face waxing and my prices are competitive, and just think...  you can do it in the privacy of your own home, or mine.

Cheeks -- $15
Chin -- $10

sideburns -- $12
full face (includes brow and lip) -- $45


bikini -- $33 to $55 (price will be quoted over phone but is subject to change)
brazillian -- $55 to $75 (price will be quoted over phone but is subject to change)
stomach -- $25 to $35  (price will be quoted over phone but is subject to change)


half leg (both)-- $30 & up
full leg (both) -- $60 & up

half arm (both) -- $25
full arm (both) -- $40
under arms -- $20 & up

back -- $40
chest -- $40
