Born and raised in Kolkata India, I was introduced to photography by my father and his box camera. My passion for photography developed along side my full time job as a musician, and now these two related art forms keep me happily going!
Inspired by Ansel Adams and his zone system for lighting, I have found a way of incorporating these lighting challenges and possibilities  into my work.  My formal education in photography began in California in the mid 80s.  There I assisted numerous Fashion photographers and worked in custom photo labs which were mostly tailored to this industry.

I am the Artistic Director of Toronto Tabla Ensemble, and am back into shooting models/actors/dancers on a regular basis.
I am interested in working with models that are serious about having a professional portfolio. I believe that a good professional presentation makes all the difference in drawing attention to who you are, and what you want to be.
As a full time working professional artist, I am aware of budgetary constraints, and am willing to negotiate.
