Hello,

my name is ARNOLD.  I am originally from Ventura, California...where I lived most of my life, except for a few years in Columbus, Ohio.

I am a figurative artist that works primarily in mixed media and printmaking.  Strong points in my work are design, draftsmanship, and color.  My work pulls from my southern California upbringing.  I use figures mixed with iconic imagery and symbols.  The imagery I use comes from my coastal town where I grew up, Catholic/Mexican iconography, Japanese culture and anime, and pop references.  My work is linear, bold, and colorful.

I was born and raised in Ventura, California.  When growing up my main interests goals were comic books and film.  After visiting LACMA, (Los Angeles County Museum of Art) in my early twenties I began painting, and focusing on art history.  After working and learning on my own I started taking printmaking classes at Ventura College.  In January 2008 I moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend CCAD, (Columbus College of Art and Design).  In 2011 I relocated back to California to continue my art career. 

I have had a number of one man shows, and been included in a number of group shows.  I have won many individual awards and scholarships for my art.  I have also been in a number of large shows including Ohio State Fair, Ventura County Fair, and California State Fair.

*WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR IN A MODEL - In a model I'm looking for someone that is contemporary in style and attitude.  Fun is of course also always a big plus too.  If you are interested in working together please feel free to message me.  I'm always looking for new models to work with.

*PROJECTS I WANT TO WORK ON - I would love to do more paintings with models that have tatoos, more Starwars, and comic book based paintings.  I would love to put out a zine, and maybe do small video sessions too.
