Consider me a work in progress. Of course, when you think about it, even the most accomplished photographers could be considered works in progress and I'm  sure most feel that way. I'm not out to conquer the world with my images, change the face of fashion, glamour or anything else. My number one goal is to produce the absolute best images I can.

With that in mind, some other things you might want to know about me are that I'm generally pretty easy to get along with. As the photographer, especially at this point when much of my work will be for the purpose of producing portfolio pieces, I might be in the driver's seat, but I'm very aware that I can't do it all by myself. One of my goals is to make every shoot as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. If you're a makeup artist, expect my suggestions and support. If you're an assistant, expect my direction, my willingness to listen to ideas and my gratitude for your help. If you're a model, trust that I won't try to take advantage of you, or push you to do things you don't want to do and that I believe it's very important that you have a sense of security while putting yourself out there in front of my camera. Things you can expect from me are to cheer you on, to challenge your willingness to take chances, to tease you without mercy if it means seeing you loosen up and to make funny faces at you if it gets a smile.

I've been a published writer, a champion sled dog racer, a wildland fire fighter, a helicopter crewmember, a volunteer fire fighter and an EMS First Responder. One of my first loves was holding a camera to my eye, pressing the shutter button and discovering the image on the other side. It's something I've returned to. Now you can just call me a photographer.
